The Best Solution for Missing Teeth
Dental implants are titanium devices that replace tooth roots and provide the ultimate stability for dental crowns, bridges, and dentures. After an implant is surgically inserted into the jawbone, the titanium becomes permanently fused to the bone tissue. The result is a stable, supremely functional foundation for a restored bite.
Thanks to this solution, people with missing teeth have options beyond crowning healthy teeth for a dental bridge or suffering with an unstable denture that shifts out of place. Dental implants restore virtually the same level of function that natural teeth provide. Best of all, they can last the rest of your life with proper dental care.

Three Reasons Why You Should Consider Implants
They are the best fit for your smile.
If you are missing a few teeth, you could choose to receive a bridge, but this will require crowning at least two healthy natural teeth. If you are missing all of your teeth, you can choose to receive a traditional denture, but it may be prone to slipping and shifting when you eat and speak. By supporting your restorations with implants, your remaining teeth stay complete and healthy, and you can chew and speak with absolute confidence.
They keep your jaw healthy.
When there are no tooth roots to stimulate the jawbone, it will begin to shrink and change shape in ways that cause your surrounding natural teeth to shift and your face to look older than you really are. Implants provide the stimulation needed to maintain a healthy jawbone.
We make implants affordable.
By undergoing treatment at St. Thomas Dental Center in Los Algodones, you can receive the same caliber of dental care you would expect to receive in the U.S. at about one-third the price. We think it's time you stopped suffering with an incomplete smile and spoke to our dentists about dental implants. Our dental work isn't just affordable; it can provide lasting results thanks to our dentists, who are active members of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. We accept most insurances, as well as CareCredit® financing.

Types of Dental Implants Offered at our Los Algodones Practice
Traditional Implants
We provide traditional dental implants, which can be used to support virtually any type of restoration. These titanium implants are inserted into the jaw, and once integration with the bone tissue is complete, we can attach an abutment piece to the top of the implant, which will connect to your dental crown, bridge, or denture. A single implant can support a crown, bridges require at least two implants, and it takes six to eight traditional implants to support a full denture. Meanwhile, each replacement tooth we provide will look completely natural.
All-on-4
If you need a full denture, you may be a candidate for All-on-4®. This involves vertically placing two implants in the front of the jaw and placing two implants at angles in the back of the jaw to maximize contact with the existing bone tissue. The angled implants make it possible for those who have suffered some degree of bone recession to receive implants without needing a bone graft. (If you do need a bone graft, our practice can provide it prior to implant placement surgery.) Most patients can receive a denture immediately after All-on-4 placement.
All-on-6
The All-on-4 solution may not be able to provide the level of support all denture wearers need. In this case, we can incorporate two additional implants. The All-on-6® approach is similar to All-on-4 in that it often makes bone grafting unnecessary and can support a denture immediately after implant placement surgery. During your initial consultation in Los Algodones, your dentist will conduct a thorough assessment of your smile to determine which solution is the best one for your needs.
Preparing for Implants
It's important that we make sure your jaw has enough bone tissue to support implants and that you have no active gum disease or tooth decay. Before we move forward with dental implants, we will assess your candidacy by taking digital X-rays, examining your gums and any remaining teeth, and reviewing your medical records. If we determine that this treatment is right for you, we will schedule your appointment in Los Algodones.
We can provide any necessary gum treatment and tooth extractions prior to your procedure. If you happen to need bone grafting or a sinus lift (gentle elevation of the sinus membranes combined with augmentation of the upper jaw) to help your jaw support implants, know that we also provide these services at our Los Algodones practice. Once your jaw has healed (usually in three to six months), we can proceed with your implants.
Placing Traditional Dental Implants
Our dentists are active members of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. They hold themselves to the highest standards of care to ensure each patient receives the quality treatment they expect and deserve.
